Fields of Rocks and Shit
This sculptural installation presents an experience of aggressive gentrification. The work abstracts a much wrought contemporary discussion, with the purpose of diffusing the topic through focusing on the subjective nature of change. It is parenthesized by taboo tropes such as mysticism and Japanese Zen practice. Through the use of these languages MAW wishes to distance themselves from typical equity cries that are often heard but ignored. MAW wishes to thank Griffintown.
